Other Ways To Give

To make the world a better place for everyone, we all need to play our part in whatever way we can. Some of us volunteer our time or skills for a cause we care about. Others, through simple acts of kindness, do some good regularly and make a difference to random individuals. But while we like to believe that we can make a difference on our own, we can sometimes do more together. We can, for instance, make a difference by donating to a worthy charitable cause, such as supporting the arts. There are many ways to give! Not only can you donate money, but you can also donate cryptocurrency or even stocks.

The Jerry Cox Charitable Giving Foundation will also triple-match any donation you make up to $50,000. As a supporter of the Scottsdale Artists’ School, you certainly know that contributions of any amount help us do more for art students. Now, you can triple your impact and do so much more!

Scottsdale Artists’ School recognizes the importance cryptocurrency plays in today’s economy and the lives of our alumni, parents, and friends. Donors may find it beneficial to make contributions to cryptocurrency and should consult their tax adviser regarding how donations of cryptocurrency and other highly appreciated assets may fit into their tax strategy.

For donors in the United States, the IRS has classified cryptocurrency as a form of property for tax purposes. This means that when you donate Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit like Scottsdale Artists’ School, you may not be required to pay capital gains tax on donated cryptocurrency, and you may still be able to claim a deduction for your gift. Please consult your tax adviser for more information.
