DBK - Din'é Bi Keyah (Navajoland) Plein Air Painters is a collective of artists dedicated to capturing the breathtaking landscapes and cultural richness of Navajoland through the plein air painting tradition. Their work reflects a deep connection and respect for the Diné people's land, light, and heritage. Join us in celebrating this vibrant showcase of contemporary plein air art rooted in the timeless beauty and spirit of the Southwest.

Founded by artists Johnson Yazzie, Oreland C. Joe Sr., Rick Nez, Pete Teller, and Ed Singer, the group brings together seasoned painters, sculptors, and jewelers, many with deep ties to the lands they paint through family and clan connections. From Wolf Springs Ranch in Colorado to sacred sites across the Navajo Nation, DBK plein air artists have completed seven plein air outings, creating work that reflects not just the beauty of the land but its cultural, historical, and spiritual significance. DBK welcomes female artists, supports youth mentorship, and believes in painting with both heart and purpose. Each painting becomes a visual story, preserving sacred landscapes and passing on ancestral knowledge through art. "We paint our Land. We paint the beautiful hues granted by the Creator of Dawn Light. We paint ceremonial prayers, stories, and songs associated with the mountains and buttes towering over the lands of our Grandmothers and Grandfathers."  - Oreland Joe, Sr.
