Drawing Mans' Best Friend: Jean Hildebrant | Local | Pastel or Oil
In this class, the student will learn simple techniques for drawing dogs. Students are welcome to use their own high-quality photo reference or choose from instructor-provided reference material. Emphasis will be on achieving correct values; color will be secondary. Focus will be on correct shapes, textures and line to capture the individual character of the subject. Students will be asked to prepare a charcoal drawing before the first session in order to maximize class time. Individualized instruction will be provided in the areas needed. Jean will demonstrate her simple approach to applying charcoal and moving into color. Come and enjoy bringing four-legged friends to life. This will be a friendly and informative class!
