Painting the Figurative Portrait: Linda Tracey Brandon I Local I Oil

Painting a portrait that includes parts of the figure is a way for the artist to further enhance aspects of the subject’s character. We will have the same model for two days, in the same pose, allowing you to make substantial progress on your painting. We will also be putting some thought and time into how to pose the model. (You could, of course, work on more than one painting and possibly set up from another vantage point, if you like.) Linda will be discussing gesture, clothing, design, composition and emotional impact as well as demonstrating basic concepts such as accurate drawing, color mixing and paint application.
