Discover the exciting results of negative painting with watercolor! This is the technique of painting around a subject (negative space) to define it in the composition. Students will build confidence in handling glazes, underpaintings, and painting wet into wet passages. They will also develop a stronger understanding of pigments and how they directly relate to the complex medium of watercolor, as well as add depth by building transparent glazes, and create interesting shapes by linking and interlocking shapes.
