Malm, a resident of the Cache Valley in northern Utah, is a contemporary painter of the inspired landscapes of this region and loves figure painting. “The human figure, in my mind is the most beautiful of all God’s creations. So much can be communicated through the tilt of the head, or the gesture of a hand. I strive to capture subtle things such as these in hopes of creating something emotional and moving,” states Malm. He studied with the renowned American representational painters Richard Schmid, Burton Silverman, Qhang Ho and Michael Workman.
According to Scottsdale Artists’ School president, CEO, Robin McClea, “Malm is a very giving and inspiring instructor. He recognizes the benefits of studying with some of the masters of the contemporary art world and is eager to share his knowledge with others. We are fortunate to host him in Scottsdale.
