- Gay Faulkenberry

Gay Faulkenberry studied art at both Southwestern State and Oklahoma State Universities. Disillusioned with the programs that were offered, she began working as a geological draftsman. It wasn't until a trip to Taos, NM, in 1978 that she took a more serious direction to pursue a fine arts career. She studied with noted artists Sergei Bongart, Ned Jacob, Ray Vinella and Mark Daily. Faulkenberry has been painting professionally for the past 20 years; her subject matter is well-rounded and includes still life, florals, landscapes and interiors. Her work is found in many private and corporate collections and is featured in numerous art publications. She is a Signature Member of the Plein-Air Painters of America and American Women Artists.
