Jean Chambers is respected for her luminous still life painting, as well as her figurative and landscape work. She has received many awards and is a Signature Member of Oil Painters of America. Chambers spent five years traveling extensively after leaving the architectural field to begin her fine arts career. During that time, she studied the Masters in the major museums in the United States and Europe. In addition, she has attended workshops given by her contemporaries and amassed a large collection of art books for reference. Recognizing the importance of continuous artistic growth for any artist, she sets aside time each day from her painting schedule to study and draw. Her work may be found in Settlers West Gallery, Tucson, AZ; Ponderosa Art Gallery, Hamilton, MN; and WhistlePik Galleries, Fredericksburg, TX.
