Harley Brown
Harley Brown hailing from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, is known for his unique representations of Native Americans. In addition to the Cowboy Artists of America, Harley is also a member of the Northwest Rendezvous in Montana, the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City and the Autry Museum in Los Angeles. His art appears in numerous private and public art collections, and he has commissioned portraits of President Ronald Reagan for his second inauguration, Winston Churchill, Sophia Loren and others. Harley attended the Alberta College of Art in Calgary and the Camberwell School of Art in London, where he lived for two years in the 1960s. Harley has published two books: Harley Brown's Eternal Truths for Every Artist and Confessions of a Starving Artist. He writes a regular column for International Artist Magazine and taught painting workshops periodically throughout the world from 1980 through 1999.
