ANITA HAMPTON says that painting is a “life-long study." She is a Signature Member of the California Art Club, Laguna Plein Air Painters’ Association and Oil Painters of America. She has won numerous awards including first place at the San Juan Capistrano and Crystal Cove plein air painting exhibitions, and the Franklin Mint Award at the National Exhibition of Oil Painters of America. Hampton is the author of several books including Oil Painting Step by Step and The Art of Oil Painting, both published by Walter Foster Publications. Her paintings are in major collections including the Irvine Museum and the Guy Rose Plein Air Collection, and she has exhibited at the California Sate Capitol and the California governor’s office. Hampton’s work can be viewed at Salisbury Fine Art, Susan Street Fine Art, and Villas and Verandas Gallery.
