Michael Albrechtsen grew up in northern Utah where gained a great appreciation for the land and sharpened his skills of observation. Albrechtsen received his MFA from Utah State University and was immediately recruited by Hallmark Cards. His career there, in addition to his experience in technical drafting, shading, line drawing, and three dimensional rendering, trained him to see detail and strive for accuracy. Albrechtsen recently completed a set of murals for the Finland Temple in Helsinki, and he was featured in the May 2007 issue of Art Talk. His work can be viewed in numerous galleries including D.E. Craghead Fine Art Gallery, Carmel CA; Legacy Gallery, Scottsdale, AZ and Jackson, WY; DeMott Gallery, Vail, CO; Ponderosa Gallery, Salmon, ID; and Highlands Fine Art Gallery, NJ.
