James Asher
James Asher James Asher received his BFA from the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, CA. For over thirty years, Asher has painted in both gouache and watercolor, mastering traditional as well as modern techniques of these exciting media. Teaching his techniques and sharing his experiences with artists and demonstrating the depth and versatility of these time- honored media is one of the things he enjoys most as an artist. Asher has been profiled in The Artist’s Magazine, American Artist, Southwest Art, and many other publications, including Watercolor Handbook, for which he was the June 2003 cover feature. He has written articles for Watercolor Magic and The Artist’s Magazine. Asher’s work has been exhibited around the United States and at the National Museum of Taiwan and the Royal Watercolor Society in London. In 2006 he was featured at the Gilcrease Museum’s Rendezvous show. Asher’s work is exhibited by Zaplin-Lambert Gallery in Santa Fe, NM.
