John Burton
John Burton John Burton professes,"Art is a universal language." He has traveled the world to learn about cultures and how light affects different landscapes. Burton graduated from Arizona State University and continued his formal education at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. His major influences include Russian Impressionist Nicolai Fechin, American illustrator Dean Cornwell, Spanish artist Joaquin Sorolla and Norway's noted sculptor Gustav Vigleand. Burton’s work has won major awards at two of Oil Painters of America recent national exhibitions. He has been featured in Southwest Art and other publications. He is the co-founder of Art of Triumph, an organization formed to assist and promote artists with disabilities.
