Long-time Free Arts of Arizona Weekly Mentor Linda Pullinsi was the recipient of the Outstanding Mentor Award at the 10th Annual Governor’s Volunteer Service Awards this April. The Governor’s Volunteer Service Award is the highest honor for volunteers in Arizona, and bestowed upon those who exemplify the motto “Give Today, Touch Tomorrow.” Linda began her service with Free Arts in 1994 as a mentor at Arizona’s Baptist Children’s Services’ (ABCS) Little Canyon Center, and recently completed her seventeenth Weekly Mentor term. For the past 10 Weekly Mentor terms, she has mentored pregnant and parenting teen girls at a group home in Phoenix. During her time at Free Arts, Linda has touched the lives of over 250 youth and logged nearly 800 hours of volunteer time!
