Course Title: Watercolor Travel Journaling
Course Meets: 02-10-2012 - 03-16-2012
Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Tuition: $270
Description: Ever wonder why you rarely look at those travel photos? Perhaps its because taking a photo requires so little attention that actual memories of the mo¬ment are scant. Not so with even a brief sketch and some notes in a journal. Sketching on location slows your pace as you observe a scene for minutes, not seconds. While I still take loads of pictures, its invariably my journals that, even decades later, vividly evoke wonderful places and events of our travels... of our lives! Well sketch at a new and interesting location each week. Im a hands-on kind of guy, providing frequent demos, and one-on-one assistance based on where you are in art. Individualized emphasis on working with color, sketching people, simplifying complex scenes, even the basics of perspective, make this an easy and pleasant introduction to journaling, to sketching, to watercolor, and to the art of seeing. Because youll keep a journal solely for your own pleasure, you neednt be an accomplished artist. Beginners are welcome. www.lewisblehrman.com
