MODELS
Are you looking for fun, flexible job in the arts? Scottsdale Artists’ School, a professional and internationally known organization, is seeking "fresh faces" to join our roster of models!
We are looking for dependable, punctual, enthusiastic models who enjoy working with people. A background in dance or the performing arts is helpful but not required. Models must be able to hold poses for long periods. We are seeking males and females of all ethnicities with interesting and attractive faces and varied body types. We hire both figure (nude) and portrait (clothed) models. We offer flexible schedules (day, evening, and weekend shifts available) and pay $15 per hour. ARTISTS
Scottsdale Artists’ School is always accepting applications from professional artists working in representational art who are interesting in joining our teaching roster. Our workshops and classes are primarily in the media of drawing, oil, pastel, watercolor, acrylics and sculpture. Subject matter we offer includes portraiture, figurative art, still life, landscape and plein air. Artists who live in the Phoenix metro area may apply to teach weekly classes and workshops. Artists who live out of state teach week-long workshops. Please note that teaching appointments are very competitive and subject to space in our schedule.
Applicants are evaluated based on the following criteria:
*Artist works at an advanced or master skill level in traditional, representational art.
*Artist has developed a focus or recognizable style.
*Artist has received national recognition through publications, museum and gallery shows, awards, and major commissions.
*Artist has studied with other master artists.
*Excellent recommendations (ideally one from another master artist and one from a student).
*5 years experience teaching art to adults.
*Excellent people skills and organized: able to commit to a set schedule, develop curriculum and promote themselves efficiently.
